Courtney Flantzer is originally from Los Angeles, California. After completing her degree in Art History at American University, Flantzer worked for the auction house Butterfield’s as the Assistant Director of Estate Sales. She later moved into the entertainment industry and worked in the Motion Picture Literary Department at United Talent Agency.
Valuing the parallels between the entertainment business and politics, George Stephanopoulos hired Flantzer as his Production Coordinator and personal assistant at the start of the 2007. For three years she worked at This Week with George Stephanopoulos and contributed actively on ABCNews.com by hosting the This Week webcast and creating the Green Room Girl commentary and slideshow.
After broadcast news, Flantzer moved into public relations and worked as an Associate in the communications practice at Dewey Square Group. She then branched out to create Courtney Flantzer Public Relations in 2011 (previously Courtney Cohen Public Relations). Flantzer seeks clients with rich stories to tell in a variety of fields. We have built relationships with national and local press covering everything from professional athletes and events to food, fitness, healthcare, and vibrant tech startups because we effectively communicate our client’s purpose and news value.
